Challenge yourself by climbing the highest paved pass of the Alps. Ascending from Val d’Isère and reaching the altitude of 2770 meters high, l’Iseran connects the Valley of the river Isère (Tarentaise) to the Valley of the Arc (Maurienne ) . The « Iseranne » is a cyclists only event which takes place every year in summer, and will allow you to discover the mythical pass in complete security as cars and other vehicles are banned for the day from Val d’Isère to Bonneval sur Arc.

The road was opened in 1937 and soon became a regular feature of the Tour de France . The ascent still is nowadays an ultimate challenge for many athletes. It is also a popular route of the great Alpine roads, « La route des Grandes Alpes » for many bikers and drivers who enjoy discovering a stunning panorama along the road, with the franco-Italian summit of Tsanteleina overlooking the pass at the top .
